Kibo Slopes Cottages

The cottages are lovely, with basic facilities, and the grounds are neatly kept. You get a partial view of Mount Kilimanjaro. The staff were helpful throughout and the customer service was great. Meals came as three courses with generous portions. I hope they consider adding a kettle or kitchenette so guests can make a cup of tea in the cottages.

This was my fourth stay, and I’ve found it very good in every way. I even got a view of Kilimanjaro while having breakfast.

We waited three hours for our meal. What made it worse was watching the owner and his family get served before the guests who were paying. They also went into the kitchen and behind the bar to take whatever food, fruit, or drinks they wanted, right in front of us. If I could, I’d rate Kibo Slopes minus five stars.

I like the peaceful feel of the rooms, and they’re quite decent for a good night’s rest. The food is nice and well prepared, and there’s secure parking. The staff are friendly and helpful too. This is my favourite place to stay in town, and tour and travel companies often lodge their guests here.
