Secret Haven Apartment

The people were lovely, the place was very clean, and it had the best shower I've had in Kenya so far. A couple of small things could be better: bottled water should be available, even for an extra fee, and the bathroom window should close all the way. The vent should close too, to keep mosquitoes out. Even with those issues, it's my favourite accommodation in Nairobi.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on sun loungers, and the staff, including the gatemen, were the rudest and most two-faced I've come across. The bathroom taps leaked, there were no towels, the TV didn't work, and the internet was slow. Breakfast wasn't provided as mentioned. I booked a 3-bedroom apartment, but got a 2-bedroom and an SQ outside the main house. At checkout, Faith, the manager, wouldn't even give us five minutes to clear out. She was very rude, and some of her customer service responses made me think she needs training. I believe the location near the airport is the only reason they make money, and that they're just trying to make extra money in corny ways. Be careful if you book. I wish I could rate my stay below one star. I could go on, but I won't waste more time. NB: Do not delete my review!

It's in a classy neighborhood with strong security, surveillance cameras, and friendly neighbors. The mall is nearby.

The price was great, and the neighbourhood felt safe. There’s also a pool and a gym that stay open 24 hours.
