The service was good, with stewards checking in to see if everything was alright. The rooms are a bit dated, but still exceptional, and the food and amenities are top notch. It felt like good value for money. The two managers are hands-on and available to help. Leslie, the customer service champion, made check-in and check-out exceptional. Thank you, sir. Mr. Onyango also deserves thanks for taking on problems outside his area to help resolve them. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

I’ve stayed here before, so the media reception was appalling to me. We arrived alongside a group, and they got a complimentary drink while we didn’t. Then our old room was clearly unclean and very dusty, with no toiletries. The stay was already looking rough. I hoped they might make up for it, and I’ll update this as things go. Update: They made the bed, but left the floor dirty and didn’t replace the towels. I contacted reception and got plenty of stories. I just wanted an easy stay, not anything special, only the bare minimum for a holiday. Update: About 80% of the staff have name tags saying “I am Training.” They seem overwhelmed and sometimes aloof, and there aren’t many full-time staff. I know it’s low season, but a decent level of professionalism is still needed. I’m glad the trainees have the opportunity, though I can’t help sensing some exploitation. I’ll add more later.

Saturday night’s outdoor dinner was the highlight for me. The band, atmosphere, energy, and dancing with the staff were amazing. I also loved the spacious room and its outdoor garden. Glory at reception, John at the pool bar, and Shabesh at the other bar were especially lovely and helpful. My friends and I enjoyed the birthday surprises too 😊 I’d definitely come back!

The service was amazing, and this is a beautiful hotel for relaxing. John, Esther, Seif, the bartenders, and Nicholas, the aqua gym instructor, really made our stay memorable. Lovely staff.
