The management were thoughtful on our last day and let us stay a few extra hours while we waited for our later bus. That kind of care really stood out. We had a wonderful vacation here, with spotless rooms, kind staff always ready to help, and a delicious breakfast each morning. It's such a comfortable place with great service and genuine hospitality. I can't recommend it enough, and I'll be back on my next trip.

The beach is about a three minute walk, and the guards there were a highlight. At our request, they kept the beach boys from bothering us, so we could enjoy the magnificent sunrise. Thanks for that. The welcome was warm, and our room was maintained and cleaned every day. They even decorated the bed. We had a working AC, fan and fridge, plus WIFI and a spacious balcony overlooking the beach. Silver Rock was a very good stay, definitely recommend.

The room was a huge letdown: it was poorly maintained and dirty, with worn furniture, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly before we arrived. The service didn't help, and for what we paid, the experience wasn't worth it. What we found in Malindi was nothing like the hotel advertised on its website. The online photos seem outdated or heavily edited. I'd tell anyone considering it to think twice. There are better places in Malindi that actually match their advertising, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Martin will take care of you properly, and once you're at the hotel, everyone is busy making sure you have a spectacular time. It's also close to plenty of places, including Vasco Da Gama, Marine Park and Malindi Town. Highly recommend!

The security staff were nice and welcoming, but the rest of the stay put me off. In May 2026, I had to spend 20 minutes debating the low-season rate even though Booking.com showed the price clearly. The receptionist didn't seem very motivated. My room wasn't cleaned until about 3 pm the next day, after I complained three times. I wouldn't choose this as my first option in Malindi now.
