Travellers Inn Resort Malindi

We arrived late looking for a room. The 1000 Ksh option was gone, so they put us in a 2000 Ksh room. It was filthy, with no bathroom tiles, just bare concrete on the walls and floor. I wouldn't have dared step into that shower. We left and found a great place along Mombasa Road.

It's a real travelers' inn, and the room wasn't well kept or clean, it was dusty. We had to move because there was no water for the shower, and hot water wasn't available either. We were also told a child could stay free, then had to pay extra.

Let me laugh at myself first 😂😂😂, cheap can turn expensive. The rooms were the cheapest, but I was bamboozled when I got there. People were friendly, but the food was so poor and the eating areas were always dirty that my friends and I had to find somewhere else to eat 😂😂. They said there was a swimming pool, but I had to pay the same amount as my room to use the pool outside 😂. The whole experience was traumatic 😳.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms were big, and drinks cost less than in town. The place is along the transit road, but it needs better planning and renovations. Food was so expensive that we kept driving to the nearest town for meals. Staff were generally good and helpful. The owner, though, was rude and acted like a school principal. He should stay home and let his manager handle the daily returns.
