We had an awful time at swordfish. The agent who booked us was Lesley. When we arrived, the place looked nothing like the photos online and was quite run down. The pool was dirty and the bedding stained. We tried calling Lesley to ask about what we were seeing, but she didn’t answer. We decided to leave the next day. We’d paid a 50% deposit for three days and never got a refund. We had booked three villas, but one house was so damp that my friends couldn’t stay there and left. The rest of us had to stay because it was so late and we couldn’t find another place then. A week later, Lesley called asking us to pay the balance, which was shocking when we were the ones who should have been refunded. Be aware if you book this place, it doesn’t look like the photos.

The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, and the house was a great fit for a family break. There’s room for kids to play, plus activities you can arrange, from local outings to things at the property. We also liked having the option of a private chef for a reasonable fee. The meals were fresh, tasty, and made to suit what we wanted. Laundry was available for a small cost, which was handy with children, and Starlight Internet gave us a fast, reliable connection for work or streaming. Swordfish made it easy to have either a quiet family stay or a more active one. We had a fantastic time.

The simple check-in and check-out were a real plus. We arrived, were shown our rooms, and when it was time to leave we just headed out with Flo there. She was our room service attendant and helped us out in several ways. The villa now has Wi-Fi that everyone could use, and a chef is available for a fee if you want one. I stayed with friends and loved it. It was good value, just as described, and I’ll definitely go back. Calling it perfect almost undersells it.

The chefs are great, and the place is exceptionally clean. They do housekeeping every day, which is a nice bonus for a self-catering villa. It’s also just a few minutes’ walk from the marine park.

We had a lovely, quiet stay with friends in a beautiful setting, and the staff were wonderful. There wasn’t Wi-Fi at our place, though that turned out to be a blessing since we spent more time bonding. Chefs were available throughout our stay at our own expense, so we had more time to ourselves.
