The superior rooms look straight out over the lake, and their position makes sunrise especially lovely. We found the whole camp peaceful from the moment we arrived, with welcoming owners, managers, and staff. There are birds everywhere, and our visit to Roko, the giraffe conservancy, was amazing. We even stroked the warthogs, then fed the fish eagle on the way back. Such a little bit of paradise.
Right in the middle of olkokwe Island, island camp feels a long way from Nairobi's bustle. We enjoyed the magnificent view across Lake Baringo and the quiet setting. There's plenty to do, from a boat ride on the lake to hiking at ruko Island to see giraffes, or having sundowners. It's also an excellent spot for bird watching.
We went over from Roberts camp for a day visit, lunch, and the boat transfer. The views and setting were wonderful, and the Indian food was good. Cocktails by the pool were cheap and good too. A very nice experience.
A must visit. The staff are lovely and really do all they can for you, and the excursions were very good. Great value for money.
The lake view is beautiful, and the staff are kind. I had a special time here at this lovely hotel.
