The bathroom let the visit down: the shower wasn't working, and the area wasn't pleasant. If those maintenance problems are fixed, this could be a five-star stay. The resort is easy to reach, right by the roadside, and the pool was refreshing. The food was surprisingly delicious, and the staff were attentive and gave excellent service throughout.

The rooms are basic but clean. At night, mosquitoes and insects came through the one-inch gap beneath the door. Rolling up a bath towel and blocking it on the second night worked. The window latch was broken too, so bugs got in there as well. Breakfast was awful. The chef couldn't make a poached egg, which arrived on my plate like baby vomit. I refused it and asked for scrambled eggs, but those were disgusting too, with burnt black bits of flour from an unclean pan. I gave them to the dog. The next day I insisted on making my own Spanish omelette, cleaned the pan myself, and took breakfast away.

It's clean and very close to the road, with really friendly staff. The cottages are wonderful, and there's a family house for accommodation.
