Ashnil Mara Camp

The food was a worry for me because I'm a picky eater, but there was loads of variety and everything was top quality. Amos Sankale, who was assigned to our table, gave impeccable service, and everyone was so friendly. The safari tents had a great feel and were really luxurious. Staff cleaned the room and opened or closed the windows during the day to keep it comfortable. This was the best vacation I've ever had, and I'd give the place more than five stars if I could.

We visited in December 2024 and loved Ashnil Mara. The camp is beautifully kept, with a rustic safari feel alongside a touch of luxury. Our spacious tent was comfortable, and the large balcony looked out over the Mara River. There was no AC, but the ventilation worked well. After early safaris, it was a treat to come back to tasty breakfasts, hot lunches, and dinners with plenty of choices. The staff were full of energy, friendly, and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the African dance and other activities, which brought a fun cultural element to the stay. It's a bit pricey, but the location in the heart of the Masai Mara, the river views, service, and amenities made it worth it for me. I truly loved the camp and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Mara.

Jospeh, our waiter, and Ishmail, who cleaned our room, were both lovely and made us feel right at home. The staff's personal touch and service were fab. Our rooms were spacious and felt homely. The buffet food was outstanding at both lunch and buffet, probably the best I've ever had. The location was unique and brilliant for safari in the Massai. We won't forget the trip.

At night, hearing the hippos was amazing, and we could watch hippos and crocodiles along the Mara river from the deck. The tents were surprisingly like proper cabins, with tented roofs and interior walls. Ours had three bedrooms and beds for five, with a great view out back. George looked after our table with precision every time. Loved this glamping stay, an amazing place to visit on safari.
