The guides were knowledgeable, accommodating, and a pleasure to ride with. Food was delicious, service outstanding, and the accommodation second to none. Rekero was an amazing experience, with attention to detail that's hard to match. Highly recommend. We'll be back.

Wildlife is what matters most to us, and Jackson did a terrific job guiding. He seemed to know just the right place and time. We spent three nights at Rekero Camp at the beginning of February and had a wonderful stay. The food was fantastic, and the whole team did a great job. All the pictures I added were taken during our visit.

My friend and I went to Kenya without knowing quite what to expect from safari. Three nights at Rekero were so good that we wished we'd booked many more. The staff made the experience, and managers Sam and Timothy were kind and took care of everything for us. Japher was a great waiter, Moses looked after the rooms, and Isaac and Joseph made us feel safe as they escorted us to and from our tents before sunrise and after dark. Our guide Saruni was exceptional. His knowledge and years of experience helped us see every animal we could have hoped for, including hard-to-spot leopards and cheetahs. He was kind and funny, and after spending every day together we felt like friends. We were sad to leave him. A few things we wondered about beforehand: we were comfortable without air conditioning, thanks to a large standing fan and the breeze off the river. We never had trouble with bugs or mosquitoes at camp or elsewhere in the Mara. As two women travelling alone, we felt completely at ease at Rekero. The camp has no fence, so animals walk through at night and you can hear their calls. We never felt nervous because the security staff were so good. Asilia, which runs Rekero, hires local Masai guides, and their familiarity with the animals really shows. We heard that guides at other camps follow Asilia vehicles because they trust the guides' knowledge and route choices, and we saw that ourselves. Several other groups at Rekero had stayed before and come back for annual visits, which says a lot about the camp. I was initially unsure about the food, but we loved it, with plenty of delicious choices. Before this trip, I thought safari was a once-in-a-lifetime bucket-list thing. It turned out to be one of the most relaxing and amazing experiences I've had. The people can make or break a stay, and everyone at Rekero exceeded our expectations. I can't wait to return to Kenya, and plan to stay at Rekero on future visits.

We had a fantastic honeymoon at Rekero Camp and would happily return. The tents were well equipped, and somehow not a single bug got inside. The team handled both my dietary needs and my partner's really well, which makes a big difference when travelling. Special thanks to our guide Francis, who found us a leopard, a lifelong wish of mine. Chris, Timothy, and Moses deserve a shoutout too, though everyone was fantastic.

Since Rekero camp isn't fenced, guests are escorted to and from their rooms in the early morning, late evening, and at night. We could hear all sorts of animals nearby grazing by the river in front of our tent, including hippos and elephants. Hearing lions roar while we ate dinner was surreal. The newly renovated camp was a fabulous place to stay. The tents were comfortable and well equipped, and Joseph, our guide Jackson, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make the visit memorable. I highly recommend Rekero camp.
