iKWETA Safari Camp

The pool was a lovely spot to cool down after a dusty drive, and the staff were incredibly warm. iKWETA is only a couple of minutes from the Murera Gate of Meru National Park, which made early game drives easy. We stayed in a spacious, clean tent with a nice safari feel and a private veranda that was perfect for morning coffee. It felt more premium than its mid-range price, though it can get warm during the day. The food was consistently fresh and good, and I believe they grow much of it on site. We especially liked the farm-to-table breakfast before heading into the park. They were accommodating of our safari schedule. A strong choice if you want comfort without paying five-star prices.

The rooms are spacious, there’s a pool, and you can explore nearby on foot or by bike along the nature trail. Ikweta is just a five minute drive from the Meru National Park gate, and the staff are so kind they’ll even prepare lunch packets for you. I really have nothing bad to say and will definitely return. The swimming pool, tucked among trees, plants, and flowers, was great for cooling off after a hot day on safari. Ikweta Lodge is also only a few minutes from the Meru National Park gate. We loved the charming garden, which was a lovely place to explore and relax, and the tents were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The food was excellent throughout our stay. Staff were welcoming, kind, and always ready to help. Highly recommended!
