There’s guest parking in the compound up to the reception area. Downstairs, the restaurant adjoins the bar, and the property has guest rooms as well as conference rooms. The restaurant was okay, with fairly quick service and food that was somewhat tasty. The bar prices were affordable, but there wasn’t much choice of drinks. It wasn’t lively, and it shuts at 11 p.m., so it’s not really a place for a big night out. The rooms are small, though cozy, and clean. I wasn’t happy with the bathroom condition. If you get a room facing the road, traffic noise from the busy highway can disturb your sleep.

You can walk here easily since it’s conveniently located in town. The food is good and reasonably priced, and you can play pool with friends while having drinks. There are also good rooms available if you want to stay overnight in Meru.

For a budget hotel charging Sh. 1,700/= ($20) for a room, there’s a lot that needs work. The TV is tiny, the paint is peeling, the staff aren’t welcoming, Wi-Fi is only available in the restaurant, and breakfast is boring. It leaves a lot to be desired.
