A lovely, peaceful spot for a family visit, or a good place to pause while on safari.

The room was roomy and very clean, and the customer service was good. I’d gladly recommend the hotel.

The restaurant feels like it’s past its best. It could use an upgrade to meet current standards and needs.

8/10
It’s a quiet place with good security, a filling breakfast, and spacious rooms, especially the double room. It’s only a short distance from Makutano. Meru gets really cold, though, and the hotel could consider adding heaters to the rooms.

When I returned from supper, all my belongings had been stolen. The security is terrible, there’s no CCTV, and the staff were extremely rude. Go at your own risk.
