At 5:30 AM, someone tried my door, then poured some kind of liquid on the floor that ran underneath into my room. Later, people in the hallway were shouting and slamming doors at 3 AM. The power had gone out at midnight and stayed off until morning, so I had no lights, ceiling fan, phone charging, or refrigerator for the food I’d bought. There was no way to know about the Wi-Fi without power. The room was a bit small, and the cabinets were crowded with jumbled linens, an extra coffee pot, and cleaning and repair supplies. I understand some of that equipment is needed, but it was disorganized and took up what little cabinet space there was. The bathroom had no counter space or place to hang a towel. In the kitchen there were plates but no bowls.

Keep your expectations low. If you’re into aesthetics, you’ll probably be disappointed lol.

If you’re staying in Nyali, Mombasa, this is a well-organized and affordable Airbnb with malls nearby and good security.

A peaceful getaway spot, with nice service and a safe area.
