CityBlue Creekside Hotel & Suites, Mombasa

That ocean view outside my room was the main reason I booked here, and I loved it. The room was clean and had a coffee station, a fridge, and working AC. The mattress felt a bit thin, so we used extra pillows from the cupboard. I liked that the pool bar played music quietly, which was thoughtful. Breakfast had a good variety and was really tasty.

I really liked the character of CityBlue, with its antique look and lovely art, and the koi fish spot was such a calm touch. The ocean views are beautiful and peaceful, especially at sunrise and sunset. Staff were attentive and friendly, and even the gate guard was unusually welcoming and helpful. It’s a lovely mix of comfort, creativity, and coastal scenery, and I’d visit again. Ask for a room with a view.

The hotel has great views and sits in the heart of Mombasa, making it a nice getaway. It rains a lot, and the water is salty, so you can’t dive into it. I also found it strange that the taps in the rooms only gave salty water, which you can’t drink. I’d expect fresh water from a hotel, at least for brushing your teeth or showering.

The view was beautiful, the food was tasty, and the gym was very nice. We were welcomed warmly at City blue hotel, and the staff were lovely. Our room was spacious, though the bathroom felt very old.
