If you need a quiet night near the Mombasa SGR terminus, Coastgate Hotel Miritini is good value. The rooms are spacious and clean with basic amenities, and the staff are genuinely helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves decent food, especially local dishes, and the surroundings feel secure and peaceful. It’s handy for train travelers or anyone just passing through Miritini. The Wi-Fi sometimes runs slowly and the décor is a little dated, but the price makes those drawbacks easier to accept. I’d recommend it for budget travelers or anyone needing a night’s rest before a train.

The food and accommodation were good quality, and the reception team gave great service. I had an awesome stay. A handy choice if you're around Miritini or Jomvu, or need quick access to the SGR. I'd recommend it.

There isn't much to do here if you're looking to lounge around, with no pool and little entertainment. But the price makes sense, and the food is good without feeling overpriced. The service was exceptional, and we felt looked after. They even worked with us when we asked for some rooms with AC. For the money, you get what you'd expect and quite a bit more.

It's only about 200 meters from my house, and it's a convenient, affordable local motel for an overnight stay or bed and breakfast, starting at $20. You don't need a credit card or a bank account loaded with cash to enjoy your time here. Just bring some time and choose the package that suits you.
