Stadium Holiday Inn Mombasa

I felt stranded here. I went down to dinner, and when I returned about half an hour later, my room door had been opened with a master key and all my luggage was gone. I'm glad I'd left my money and credit cards at reception. I believe the thief was one of the security guards, since a master key was used. I had to stay in Mombasa 10 days longer and bribe the police before they gave me a report for my travel insurance. This was the worst experience ever. Stay away, it's unsafe. I'll never come back to Mombasa.

The food is delicious, the breeze is refreshing, and the customer service is great. But on my last visit, I was told to leave the dining area and sit outside by the pool table, with no clear explanation. Right after I moved, a family was allowed to sit where I'd been.

A peaceful place, and the meals are really good.

I've been coming here for years, and the managers' care for customer satisfaction is hard to match. The waiters deserve praise too. There's a good range of popular meals, and the lodging has suited me over my long experience, though some rooms struggle more than others with the coastal humidity even when the fans are running. The place is worth a visit on a pleasant, windy evening before settling in front of the lounge TV screens. I do wonder why the GPS location is slightly off.
