We loved the garden setting and the lovely bay view, and our room was bright and roomy. Breakfast had a good range of menu choices, though the included option could be better. The terrace restaurant was wonderful, with tasty seafood and sushi, and the staff were so friendly. Tamarind village felt like a little corner of paradise in the city. I’d recommend staying here.

The apartment was spacious, clean, and in a really convenient spot, but 60k a night felt steep with a few small annoyances. Some bottled water cost extra, the TV was low definition, and there was no ground coffee in the room. We also had a cold shower the first night because the hot water switch was tucked away inside a cupboard.

We stopped in for lunch and the food was really good, especially the fantastic chili crabb. Service was good too, and it’s a very pleasant place. I’d recommend the restaurant for the food and will be back.

The showers barely had enough pressure, and bugs and mosquitoes were a constant problem. Some insect spray would’ve helped. The rooms were clean, but nothing special, and this didn’t feel like a five star hotel. A few small changes could make the place much better.

The room was lovely, the staff were great, and I felt really secure. The restaurants serve decent Western style food, though it has its ups and downs and costs a lot for what you get. The place reminded me of an average Caribbean hotel.
