Appleton Resort

The surroundings were nice, but this wasn’t the best experience. I booked one night, and what I found was completely different from the pictures. The toilet was very dirty and leaking, and the food I ordered took almost 2 hours. They need to renovate or do something about the place.

The atmosphere works well for a quick visit, a group, or a family lunch. Staff were friendly the whole time, and the food is freshly cooked to your requirements. They offer both cold and warm drinks throughout.

The resort is quiet and clean, and I felt fine about its security. It’s green with lots of trees, which also make the rooms cold. There’s no view, and it can be hard to find. The conference space is a good size, though not in a particularly modern style. I liked the meals, but not how they serve the chicken. It’s comfortable for children and suitable for couples, though not a big family, and dogs aren’t allowed. Parking is a problem: there’s so little space that you may have to park outside to avoid hitting other cars.

It’s gone downhill since my previous visit. The service and staff engagement were both poor. The location is very good, though, and the place could be restored to its former glory.
