You can also use the restaurants and garden at the neighboring Fairview hotel, which is a real plus. At Bestwestern, the staff were friendly, and breakfast had a decent range of choices. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It’s on the small side, but it has what you need, including European plugs. They top up the water and tea or coffee each day.

The pool is surrounded by mature trees and lovely greenery, and the staff, including John, were so helpful and friendly. My room wasn’t large, but it was very comfortable. Breakfast comes with the stay and there was plenty to choose from. I loved this place and would come back.

The bed was comfortable and the staff were nice, but that’s about all I can say in its favor. The room was tiny, had no AC, and had a mosquito flying around. The corridors also had a dorm-like feel, and the room itself was only just above dorm standard. I don’t need luxury, but at this price I expected better. The breakfast was nothing special, the view was unremarkable, and the location was okay. At 11 pm I asked reception for another bottle of water and offered to pay. They said I couldn’t have one because two bottles had already been delivered to my room. I’d arrived thirsty and used some in the kettle, so that wasn’t much. The receptionist then said he didn’t have the key to the water drawer. After a lot of back and forth, they opened the gym so I could fill a bottle from the dispenser. This was in an African capital, while I was paying what I’d expect for a room in central Berlin. I could get some rest here, but the value for money is terrible. I can’t understand the price for such basic accommodation, and I’d tell people to stay elsewhere. There are plenty of other options.

The rooms were lovely, breakfast tasted great, and the staff were friendly. Dinner was a letdown for me, though. The portions were small and the service wasn’t very good. A dinner buffet might work better.
