Hotel Mokka City

I went to Mokka Café – HH Towers, 13th Floor for the first time with a friend who'd found it on TikTok. The view over Nairobi was stunning, and I loved the beautiful interior. The atmosphere felt calm and inviting. We were too hungry to remember to take pictures of the food. I liked the fries, a 7/10, and the surprisingly large samosa also gets a 7/10 from me. My friend ordered Mushroom Fries. The mushroom taste wasn't quite what they expected, though it was decent, about 5/10. The waiters were kind and courteous, but service efficiency could be better. I'd rate the visit 7/10 and plan to return to try more of the varied menu.

Right in central Nairobi, this is a peaceful place with very clean, neat rooms. I recommend the hotel.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and the café on the reception floor is pleasant, with a good range of breakfast and fresh juice. Dinner was nice too, though the portions were fairly small. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and spacious, with big bathrooms and comfortable beds. The main drawback is noise from traffic and nearby bars. Friday night was fairly bad, while Saturday and Sunday were less annoying. The windows are single glazed, so light sleepers should bring earplugs; others should be okay. The hotel is theoretically central, though Nairobi doesn't have a city centre like many European cities. It's about 25 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Nairobi National Park. I would recommend it as good value for the price.

The lack of parking is a serious problem here. Guests in our party were stopped by the county council and told not to get out of the car, which made them feel unsafe. The hotel has nowhere for guests to be dropped off, so you may have to get out farther away and walk. If you're booking with luggage, what are you meant to do? Be aware of this before booking.
