Karen Bomas Inn

Booking this house was a huge mistake for my friends and me, and I’d like to spare others the same disappointment. The house is large and beautiful, though it needs maintenance. Faith, the house manager, was rude and unhelpful. She went back on her word several times, kept adding charges, locked us out of the rooms, and cleaned while we were still inside. She also denied us access to the kitchen and utensils and seemed to change the house rules whenever she wanted. WiFi wasn’t available, and we weren’t given meals even though they were listed as part of the package.

The staff were so welcoming, and I loved the peaceful surroundings. I’d heard a lot of good things about Kenya, but this visit was my favourite part of my time here. Such a beautiful place!

We had a horrible experience because the caretaker lady showed our group no basic courtesy or decency. She didn’t honor the arrangements we’d agreed on and even locked us out of the rooms. It was utterly detestable.

The room was leaking and the service was terrible. Management was uncouth, and they were nearly kicking us out even though we’d paid. The lady kept threatening to add more expenses to our bill. They care only about themselves, not the customers. A waste of money.
