Kengen RBS Gardens

I come back here whenever I’m in Nairobi. It feels like home, and there’s lots of room for hosting. The pool is a nice extra, set among park-like grounds where you can relax with a book. We go to the fitness centre each morning 🌞. The security staff make me feel safe and at home, and they really go above and beyond.

The apartments are roomy and fully furnished, with a pool, gym, sauna, and steam room. KenGen RBS Gardens is tucked away in Parklands, but still only minutes from CBD and Westlands. A comfortable, convenient place with a touch of luxury.

We love these apartments and would like to spend our vacations there, so I hope top management looks into this. Our first visit was great, but on the second booking we were put in a dirty ground-floor unit infested with roaches, and there was no iron box. We had to wear creased clothes to a burial the next morning. The management has been very unreliable when we’ve tried to arrange more bookings, with no guarantee from the office. The manager on our first visit was different from the one on our second, which might explain why the service changed. The apartments themselves are great, but the booking management is very incompetent.

Block A can get noisy because it’s close to the pub across the road. The complex is pleasant and safe, with spacious, well-serviced apartments and nice gardens, though it’s dated and could use a refresh. The facilities in the apartment and grounds are good and perfectly serviceable. But I’ve been waiting nearly two months for my 150,000KES deposit after leaving. Despite assurances, there have been no updates, and I had to chase the office and file a formal complaint. After a seven month stay, that’s a disappointing, sour ending. I wouldn’t recommend living there long term given the deposit issue.
