Irene was genuinely welcoming and excellent, and the rooms were clean and secure with hot water all the time. The surrounding area is the drawback, though none of its hustle carries into the hotel.

For the price, this was a really good stay. The room had modern beds and bathroom facilities, and the quiet area made it possible to get proper rest, which can be hard to find in the town centre at an affordable rate. The mattress was so comfortable I slept like a rock, even with the generator making steady background noise. The water was warm enough, though not very hot, and breakfast was filling. Staff were lovely too. It’s a great location if you’re between journeys like I was, with matatu shuttles and even buses within walking distance.

The staff were brilliant and I felt safe. The rooms were more than adequate, though they’re still budget rooms, and they felt like better value than expected. It’s a great location if you’d rather not stay in Westlands. Ask Nicholas about the short walking tour to the memorial and train museum, which gives you a feel for the streets.

Good prices, great food, and really nice people working here. The room had what I needed, including a great shower, mosquito net, and storage space. Reception, waitstaff, security, and the chefs were all friendly and lovely.
