Salonika Villas

A cool five-star hotel with spacious rooms and all the amenities, including a gym, sauna, and swimming pool.

The apartment units are spacious, clean, and peaceful, and the pool and mini bar are great. There is a nearby nightclub, though, which could be distracting if you want quiet.

Be cautious at Salonika Villas. One night, five apartments were cleared of tenants' property, while the company's belongings were left untouched. Police were investigating what were described as recent organized robberies. This update is about the robbery at our apartment four years ago. Salonika did nothing to compensate us. I believe they arranged robberies of vacant houses to raise their prices. Keep away if your safety matters while visiting Nairobi. There was no apology or compensation, and CCTV footage showed staff letting the robbers onto the premises.

This was a terrifying, stressful experience for me and my family of nine on Christmas Day. I had paid the five-night rental fee through Mpesa a month before arriving. The payment was confirmed as having gone to Quincy Solanika, but when I got there, I was shocked to learn Quincy wasn't part of the property ownership. I asked the owner, Emma, to help me find out who Quincy was and why he was registered under the name Solanika. Emma was rude and told me to go to the police. She then changed the phone number on the website from the one I had sent the money to. During my stay, I wasn't offered any cleaning service. I reported the matter to the police and asked them to help find Quincy, who I believed was involved in fraud, but I had to pay again for my stay. Emma didn't go to the police to explain who Quincy was. The night before I was due to leave, she had me arrested. The police looked into it that night and let me continue with my next trip the following day. There was no customer care. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay there, and I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
