Skyhorse Apartments

I moved into Apartment C09 03 at Skyhorse in April 2025 and paid 165,000 KES in total: one month's rent, one month's deposit, and a 5,000 KES water deposit. I always paid rent on time and was a model tenant. In July 2025 I gave formal notice that I would leave at the end of August, and Mrs. Carolina acknowledged and agreed to it. On the day I moved out, her representative inspected the unit and confirmed it was in good condition, with no damage. The handover went well, but Mrs. Carolina has still refused to return my 85,000 KES deposit. It is now January 2026, six months later, and she has stopped responding altogether. She won't take my calls or answer messages, and hasn't given any explanation or itemized list of deductions. She has simply stolen my money. Anyone thinking of renting from Mrs. Carolina should be careful. Her initial persona may be misleading. After you move out, she may stop communicating and keep your hard-earned deposit. Renting from her feels like a massive financial risk. Avoid Skyhorse C09 03 and Mrs. Carolina unless you're prepared to lose your entire deposit.
