The Kenyan staff were lovely and attentive, and the gated villa neighborhood was quiet and pleasant. Rooms are spacious, with good bedding and a nightstand or desk. I stayed one night in a twin room with a private bathroom, but the shower barely had any water, the toilet wouldn't flush, and there were no towels. After a long, exhausting day, I was hoping for a proper shower and couldn't even wash my hair. I was too tired and only there for one night, so I didn't raise it with staff. The hotel is Chinese owned and has a Chinese restaurant and a nice green patio. I'm not sure why it's called a hostel, since it isn't one. The place could be really good once those basic problems are fixed.

The food at the restaurant was tasty and fairly priced, and the staff were very friendly. Clean rooms and a cozy feel made it a great place to stay. I'd definitely recommend ZZZ Hostel and Restaurant!

There are trees around the scenic grounds, with outdoor games for both kids and adults.
