We came back for lunch the next day after having dinner at Brownie's, and I'd recommend it to anyone. We hadn't stayed overnight, but Susan, the owner, welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. With the chef off duty that night, she cooked an excellent dinner herself, then stayed to chat with us. We had many interesting conversations and were glad to meet her.

The rooms are smart and private, and the children love swimming and jumping on the big trampoline. Susan, the manager, is hardworking and always ready to help with what you need. She's a seasoned cateress, so the food is top class.

The beds deserve a mention, with clean white linen, and breakfast came with freshly squeezed juice. The interior finish and cleanliness are comparable to a top hotel. Some areas are a bit tight, but the outdoor seating gives you extra personal space. Definitely a winner.

We had a good experience, though it was a festive period, so I can't say much about service times. The crowd was mature, mostly families. There's ample outdoor space for a small family day out, and the food was well done and great.

The garden is lovely and green, and would suit a small, intimate gathering. The pool is open to the public. In the room, the two things I care about were both right: a really comfortable bed and a shower with good pressure and the right temperature. Brownie's came through.
