I love coming back to this peaceful place, which used to be my childhood home. The room is clean and very comfortable, with a door onto the verandah and a view towards Mount Kenya. The staff are friendly and keen to help. It’s best if you’re driving yourself, though hosts Kingori and Joyce are very accommodating and can help with transport, including airport transfers. Samburu, Nanyuki, and several conservancy areas are within easy reach for safari visitors. This is a place for rest and relaxation, not for high spots. I’ll keep returning to enjoy the feel of authentic Kenya, away from Nairobi’s bustle.

I felt calm and at ease with myself and with life here. It’s such a soothing, peaceful place, somewhere to sit, reconnect with yourself, and return to your source.

The food was really good, especially the fried Mutton, and the rooms were cozy with a fireplace and a great view of Mt. Kenya. It felt like a place for wellness and healing. George and Sharon gave great service. The power did go out a few times, though, and there seemed to be a problem with the Generator.

The name really suits the surroundings. Our morning walk with the guide was engaging, and he pushed us right through the last KM. The food was plentiful and fresh, while the rooms were clean, spacious, and warm. Deluxe rooms have heaters. The hosts, reception, and service all felt warm and welcoming.

The grounds are lovely, with a view of majestic Mt Kenya, and the restaurant and rooms are beautiful. I especially liked the dark wood from the original establishment. The food should be better, though, and brought up to the standard of the place.
