Queens Park Guest House

I DJ’d at a function here last week. The breakfast was spot on, the staff made us feel welcome, and the atmosphere was lovely. It’s child-friendly, and they don’t serve alcohol, so you don’t have to worry about bringing the kids.

There’s plenty of parking, and the service was OK. The place is just by Outspan hospital, so it’s handy if you’re nearby and need somewhere to eat. I used to struggle to find food when visiting the hospital because I didn’t know it was there. It’s surprisingly hard to spot despite being right in plain sight. It’s also a fun place to take children, with a restaurant for adults.

Such a disappointing meal. The food came without soup, the waiter barely paid attention, and everything took ages. We eventually cancelled the juice we’d ordered because it still hadn’t been prepared.

Queenspark feels like a very homely guest house. The rooms are cosy, the meals are good, and the staff are really friendly. It’s in a nice neighbourhood, opposite the golf course and near the Outspan hotel.
