It’s still a lovely, quiet stop for lunch or a work meeting, and the service was warm. The woman who served me was my namesake, and she was so sweet. The hotel used to look prestigious, though its general appearance is starting to fade and it badly needs a facelift.

The rooms were huge, and despite a bit of wear here and there, the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff were fantastic and ready to help with any random request. Even before I stayed, the reception desk gave me contacts for a safari after I’d had a disaster at another hotel. This place turned out perfectly. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Nyeri, and it’s one of the best hotels I’d choose, if not the only one.

The food is awesome, though they’re a bit stingy with event portions. It’s right by the road, and the water pressure is good.

Brian at reception was really kind, but there wasn’t much else to like. In a cold town like Nyeri, there’s no hot shower, and the food wasn’t appealing or anything to look forward to. It felt like just another option for people with nowhere else to go. I wouldn’t recommend it or return.
