The lodge feels right in the middle of nature, and you might spot animals on the way to your room. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. At night, an escort is always available to walk you back, which I appreciated. It felt like good value and made for a memorable stay. Getting there was easier than we expected. The road through the park was generally manageable in a regular saloon car. We wanted a proper road trip without hiring a car or carpooling, and although some stretches were rough, taking it slowly got us there safely and let us enjoy the park along the way. New Year’s Eve was well organised and fun, with activities after dinner that went on until midnight. I especially loved the Samburu dancers on January 1st. I’ve seen local dancers before, but this performance felt more authentic to me, and it was the highlight of my trip. The customer service was genuinely very good. Anester and Wesley stood out for their warmth and attentiveness.

Lydia, Reuben, and Janice made our stay memorable with their warmth, professionalism, and care for the little details. We had a wonderful time at the lodge, and I look forward to telling many friends to come enjoy the same hospitality.

Loved it here! The food, rooms, grounds, and setting were all great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially William, who took wonderful care of us and even helped us spot the elephant. Amazing stay.

We came to Sopa Lodge and Samburu National Park for our honeymoon, and the staff gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. The rooms, meals, and bar were fantastic, and we loved relaxing by the pool. Star gazing, a private dinner, and dancing with the staff made for lifelong memories. I’d absolutely recommend it to friends and family. One thing we wished for was WiFi for a longer time. We’d also have preferred a different menu for the private dinner instead of the buffet.

Naomi went above and beyond when we ran into serious problems with our rental vehicle. She supported us and worked to find a solution, and we’re incredibly grateful for help unlike anything we’d experienced before. The service was attentive throughout. The Samburu Sopa Lodge is in an excellent spot inside the park. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the food was varied and good quality at every meal. We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend it.
