Fatumas Tower

The hospitality from Angelika and her staff was beyond perfect. Hamisi was wonderful and helped us with anything we needed, while Justin cooked fresh fish and seafood each day. The food was so good that we ate every meal at the house. We loved the sunrise and sunset walks through the dunes, and had several beach walks with Martin and the doggies. The location is peaceful, just off the beaten track but still close to everything. We had a wonderful three-day stay and highly recommend Fatuma's Tower.

Justin was an incredible chef. His seafood was so good that I’d stay again just for those meals, and the food was easily the best we had during our time in Kenya. We stayed a week at Fatumas tower. The rooms were beautiful and well serviced, and Hamisi was especially accommodating when I got sick. We couldn’t have been better cared for. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach and other places, but the streets of shela along the way are beautiful. Highly recommend!

I stayed for a week in January 2025 with my toddler son and my mother. The owners, a lovely couple who had lived on the island for over 18 years, welcomed us warmly. Their place felt like a green little paradise on an already beautiful island. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, with very comfortable beds, and the facilities were clean and modern. The staff were amazing, friendly, and flexible. The chefs made fresh food every day, and we loved it. We had a wonderful time and I’d highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Lamu Island.

The garden and pool felt like paradise, and the whole house had a beautiful vibe. We spent a very pleasant ten days there as a family of four. The Tamarind apartment was spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, and had brilliant facilities. It really felt like a home away from home, with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Angelika was a very attentive hostess, the house and apartment staff were warm, and our chef made delicious food. We highly recommend it for families or couples.
