Blue Post Hotel feels peaceful and has a lot of history. It sits beside the Chania and Thika waterfalls, with lovely falls and garden views, and the grounds are spacious enough for weddings, conferences, or family gatherings. There’s plenty of parking, and the setting feels quiet and family friendly. The restaurant and bar serve local and international food, with some outdoor seating. Rooms have basic amenities and are decent, though some may feel dated. It’s a relaxing spot for leisure or business, surrounded by natural scenery and not far by car from Nairobi or Thika town.

Blue Post Hotel has kept its old charm while adding modern facilities, and its position between the Chania and Thika rivers gives guests views of the famous Chania Falls and Thika Falls. It’s along the Thika–Nyeri Highway near Thika Town, with a calm atmosphere and the sound of the waterfalls making it a nice place to unwind. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well furnished. The restaurant offers a wide selection of local and international dishes, with fresh ingredients and excellent service. Outside, the gardens are neatly maintained and work well for weddings, picnics, and family outings. There are also conference spaces for meetings, workshops, and corporate retreats. Staff are friendly, welcoming, and professional, and ready to help. Whether you stop in for a meal, stay for a weekend, or hold an event, the hotel brings together comfort, nature, and history. It’s a timeless place on the Thika highway for business or leisure.

The quiet surroundings, lovely scenery, and tasty meals make this a refreshing place to unwind. Service is consistently excellent, and the friendly, attentive staff make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. I’ve found it truly enjoyable and memorable to visit.

Chania falls has a great view, and the monkeys are pretty wild. The resort itself is beautiful, with a serene setting and very friendly staff. Nice place.

That walk was the best part, with a lovely view, but there wasn’t much else to do and it got boring. We spent New Year’s Day here. At first things seemed fine, then security said it cost 300 bob to see the waterfall, even though there was no way to get down to it. That felt like a scam. The buffet had run out of food when we arrived late, though luckily they brought more and we served ourselves a few minutes later. For three people the bill came to 8100 bob, with each plate costing 2500. We paid, but water was 250 and the tea, which wasn’t good, was 350. The place used to be better, and now it feels overpriced. I’m definitely not coming back. 2/10, they need to improve and lower the prices.
