Scenic View Hotel and Resort

That saying about home being best must have got it wrong, because Scenic View Hotel might be better. They welcomed us warmly, the service was good, and the chef’s tasty meals were brought by very hospitable waiters and waitresses. If you haven’t been, I think you’re missing a lot.

The soda was warm on a hot afternoon, and the fries were disappointing. They took ages, and when I asked, I was casually told they were still peeling potatoes. When they finally arrived, they were like chips mwitu on a broken plastic plate. The customer service was poor. I’d eat somewhere else, get full, and then just go swimming so I wouldn’t leave disappointed.

The scenery and vegetation are beautiful, but I wouldn’t recommend Scenic to tourists looking for a good place to stay. It felt unhygienic, with rooms that weren’t cleaned and a pool that clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The accommodation seems to be falling apart. The food wasn’t fresh and had too many spices, and the workers didn’t seem genuine. One nearly got away with my money, and it happened twice. They also advertise breakfast as included in many accommodation packages, but that isn’t actually offered. Poor service is at the root of the problems there. Honest opinion. Thanks.

The countryside setting has lovely natural views and keeps you away from noise and pollution. There’s a clean, modern pool where you can relax, and children would enjoy coming along. The food is fresh and professionally prepared, with options for different diets, including diabetic diets. I’d call it a good four-star hotel.
