Crystal Bay Resort

We brought our seven-month-old baby, and the staff were so accommodating with all our needs. Service was quick and the hospitality was lovely. The location is great, the beach is amazing, the pool is beautiful, and the food was great too. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Thank you!

Even with the hotel at full capacity, the service was very good. The rooms were spotless and well appointed, which made us feel welcome. I especially enjoyed the dinner buffet, with lots of choices and some Swahili specialties. Cleanliness has often been lacking at coastal hotels I’ve stayed in, but Crystal Bay changed that. I’ll definitely consider it next time I’m in Watamu.

The ocean views, rocky islands, and sandy beach make this a stunning place. There was a lot of seaweed, and small bits of plastic were visible in the water and embedded in the sand along this coast. The hotel seemed to be doing its best to remove a lot of it. The rooms and food were okay, while service was a little slow for tourism, though the staff had a decent attitude. It’s a beautiful location and a decent place to stay, and I’d feel comfortable coming back.

Right by the beach in the heart of Watamu, this is a fantastic resort. There are two very clean pools, a lovely garden view, and a breathtaking sea view. You can get drinks and cocktails at the poolside bar, or choose from a range of affordable exotic food and drinks at the beach bar. The rooms have both air conditioning and a fan. I’d recommend staying here anytime.
