The family room was comfortable, with a large, lovely lounge area, and the staff were very friendly. It’s good for kids, with a small pool and lots of games. The sea isn’t right nearby, but you can walk there, and tuk-tuks make it easy to get around. Breakfast and the breakfast area weren’t as good for us. On the first day we had to wait because it was full, and service around the big table was awkward. The food was okay, but below the standard of nearby hotels.

We had a pretty, comfortable, spacious room, though it didn’t get much natural light. Breakfast was really good, with eggs made how you like them, fruit, pancakes, bread, juice, coffee, and tea. The common areas are lovely, peaceful, and clean, and the staff were very helpful. It’s a nice neighborhood, with good restaurants within walking distance and the beach a short walk away. Watamu itself is cozy and beautiful, with incredible food and amazing beaches. I highly recommend a stay here and a visit to town.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful place, but they should decide whether they’re offering a hotel or Airbnb experience. Our breakfast portions were small, then the selection and amount suddenly changed when white guests were there. There’s no entertainment, such as a TV, even in the shared areas, and our room had no furniture apart from the lamp stools. The beach is quite far away. Other houses block access, so it isn’t as close as Google Maps makes it look.

Dream Luxury Villas in Watamu was a perfect stay. The rooms were spacious, bright, and tastefully furnished, with beautiful shared spaces and a lovely pool. The team was kind and always available, and chef James made delicious food. Highly recommended!

A dream for digital nomads. I loved the calming, crisp look, white marble against wood, and the open, easy feel of the place. The rooms are large, cool, and private. At first I wished for more windows, but then I understood the idea. There’s plenty of outdoor lounging space around the pool, plus a cool upstairs shared area for reading, napping, or, for us, working.
