Pole Pole Beach House

It’s a good spot for getting away from the city, with friendly people managing it, lots of activities, and a capable chef. The beach house is okay, the pool is well maintained, and the beach is close. The rooms could use more care and renovation.

The beach was clean and not crowded, and it felt like our own private beach. There are some good seafood restaurants nearby. The rooms were very clean, the ocean view was awesome, and the pool was clean, though it may not suit children or beginner swimmers. Staff service was excellent and everyone was friendly. A place worth returning to.

We stayed four nights with our two-year-old son. Jacaranda beach is beautiful and very close, and the house has a pool for all guests. The living room was convenient, with a smart TV our son could watch at the end of the day. The room was a bit small, and the bathroom was the weak point: it’s small and gets completely wet after one shower. We also had a leak one day. Esther, who works at the house and makes breakfast, is very nice. She cooked dinner for us too for an extra 10 euros a day, with us providing the food. Her cooking was delicious. The low rating is because of the owner. From the first day there was confusion because he had rented us a room that was already occupied, so we were meant to move rooms on day two. After that, every day we had to complain about something at breakfast, like no fruit one day and no coffee another. Those aren’t the sort of inconveniences you want during a vacation.

We ended up spending most of our time by the pool because of the beach boys around the area. It was a lovely stay, though the low season meant there was a lot of work going on around the residence.
