Jannat Regency Hotel

There was a strong stale smell in the rooms, like carpets that hadn't been washed, and the bathrooms smelled even worse. Opening the bathroom door let out a sewer-like stench that spread through the room. We also saw drawers open by themselves for no clear reason. I'm not sure if it was connected, but it felt like some kind of strange, possibly paranormal activity.

The building sections aren't connected very well, and the place was a bit dusty. The rooms also had an odor, with outdated furniture.

The pool, sauna, and gym were incredible, and if you get poor service, talk to the staff because they may accommodate you. Still, it was a decent stay rather than a great one. Our room had a few issues, there was no fridge, and it didn't feel worth the price. This doesn't seem like a five-star hotel to me, maybe three or four. I'd choose a really nice AirBnB instead.

The breakfast was quite good, and the front desk later called after I posted this review to offer a room change. By then the party was nearly over, so we stayed through the last 15 minutes. They did make an effort, but I'm still not convinced this is five-star. What frustrated me most was the music outside our window. It was louder in our room than in the parking lot. When we asked to move, they said every room across the hall was unclean. It was 9:30pm, and after a nine-day trekking tour we really needed a comfortable night's sleep. I'm seriously disappointed. The room was spacious, but had several shortcomings: the mini fridge had been removed, water pressure was low, and there were scratches and dents on the furniture and walls. I still don't understand what makes this a five-star hotel.
