Kaganat Hostel

The laundry service was the most frustrating part of my stay. The dryer wasn't working when I washed my clothes, so I had to hang them up. It had been raining for days, and they took a very long time to dry. I left Bishkek with clothes that smelled bad, and some were still wet, so I had to pack them that way. Housekeeping knew I was using their spare room to hang them, but kept moving and piling them together as if that would make them dry faster. Honestly, what a waste of money. I should have gone out of my way to find a 24/7 self-service laundry shop. There was also a booking mix-up with my room. I usually choose a four-bed female room, and that's what I'd booked. A staff member told me she was new and had made a mistake, and asked me to spend one night in the eight-bed female dorm on an upper bunk because a group of four girls had specifically booked my room for one night. I usually request a lower bunk, even if I have to pay extra, because climbing up and down a ladder is painful. I agreed to the move and returned to my room after the group checked out. The staff were helpful, and despite these issues the stay was still fine overall.
