After three months on the road, staying at Southside felt like coming home. The family and staff were incredibly helpful, and the homemade breakfast each morning was lovely. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with a beautiful garden and outdoor areas to relax in. It’s a perfect place to settle in when you first arrive in Kyrgyzstan, or anytime. A friendly place with a nice vibe, clean comfortable accommodation, and helpful staff. It’s easy to meet other travellers here and swap stories and tips. Lots of services are close by, and we walked everywhere, including to Ala-Too Square, which is an hour away on foot.

I was only there for one night, but would definitely visit again. The garden and terrace are great spots to relax, the rooms and toilets are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The wall decorations are interesting too.

Mornings bring an incredible choice of breakfast, with scones, waffles, omelettes, homemade muesli and yoghurt. Coffee and tea are available all day. It’s a nice, quiet place run by an American couple. The rooms are perfectly clean, each decorated with souvenirs from the owners’ extensive travels through the stans.

They serve a really good breakfast, and it’s an excellent place to stay in Bishkek. If you want to rent a 4x4, ask the owner Ryan or the staff, they’ll help you out.
