There’s a lovely sports and swimming complex here, but residents still have to pay to use it. The hotel is still being built, and having no AC or fan was a bit of a problem.

The staff were friendly, including the technician and the man in army clothing who spoke with me. There’s a gaming room with PCs and PS5, and the building in front has massage, a sauna, a large gym, and a swimming pool. My room was modern, though not every room has a lake view. There was no bottled mineral water, so I refilled mine from the dispenser beside the lift. No TV, but that was fine.

We stayed with our kids and loved the authentic nomadic feel. The yurts were clean and cozy, the staff welcoming, and the scenery beautiful. It's an amazing yurt camp on the south shore of Issyk-Kul, especially for families wanting to experience Kyrgyz culture and nature. A lovely change from regular hotels.
