The mountain views make the bright, comfortable rooms even nicer. We’ve stayed here twice, for nine days altogether, and the name "GreatHome" really fits. The hosts care about how you’re doing, and their daughter communicates in English right away and flawlessly. 10/10.
The owners were so kind and helpful. They cooked dinner with us, arranged a horse trek, and even sorted out a taxi to bishkek. They really looked after us. The rooms are cozy and clean, and karakolka, one of the best restaurants, is about a 10-minute walk away. I’d highly recommend this guesthouse. Thanks a lot!
I come back here whenever I visit Karakol. The family is lovely, the house is clean, and the furniture is new. It’s warm in winter, too.
We had access to a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen, and the hosts even offered to drive us to the train station so we wouldn’t have to lug our heavy packs. After our hikes, we could use the whole yard to dry clothes, and they provided space and bowls for cleaning our shoes. We spent more than a week hiking in Karakol and Guesthouse GreatHome worked out really well. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, even sewing up my backpack when I needed it. Breakfast was delicious, and the clean, comfortable rooms were well maintained. A lovely atmosphere and true Kyrgyz hospitality. I highly recommend it!
