Happy Nomads Yurt Camp & Hostel

We only had one night at Happy Nomad Yurt before continuing our travels, so we didn’t explore much. Still, it was a calm, welcoming spot with greenery all around, and a lovely place to try staying in a traditional yurt. This was our first time, and it made a lasting impression. We booked online after reading the great reviews, and the place lived up to them. It’s a small family-run property, cared for by the owner, his wife, and his mother. Our yurt-style room had five beds and an attached washroom. Everything was clean and nicely decorated, and I especially appreciated that the tidy washroom had a Muslim shower. We arrived tired from traveling, at night in the rain. The owner greeted us warmly. Since we didn’t feel up to going out for dinner, he brought hot water and opened the mess sitting area so we could eat instant noodles. They had already gone for the night, so after eating we closed up and went back to our room. Breakfast the next morning was simple and homemade: fried eggs, bread, butter, and muffins. There wasn’t much variety, but it was fresh, delicious, and felt like home.

The garden and its big trees are a little oasis in the surroundings, and the place is a perfect spot to relax, especially when you’re not traveling alone. I first came to the happy Nomads by myself and was welcomed and cared for right away, like family. The rooms are perfect, breakfast is really good, and the hosts are the nicest people who clearly enjoy having guests. Tynch always had an answer to my questions and plenty of good suggestions for food and adventures around the area.

The guesthouse is beautifully kept and comfortable, a real gem for resting after Ala Kul treks. Staying with the family gave me a special local connection I don’t usually get at guesthouses. Before I booked, Tynch patiently answered all my questions about trekking and tours, even though they weren’t his responsibility. I hope things go well for the family, and that I get to see you again.

The host family gave us a warm welcome. The place is new and clean, and our room had heating and hot water. A great place to stay.
