I’ve been here with friends a couple of times and liked both the facilities and the service. They’re building a huge new complex with mansion-style homes and townhouses, plus things like a kids’ area and restaurants. It looks like it may be open year-round once it’s finished. I’d recommend it.
There’s plenty of space to unwind in the big park, and the beach is clean. Our room was comfortable, and it felt like a tucked-away spot for a summer break. Paying by card was easy, and the food was good, with vegetarian choices too. Families, couples, kids, and even pets can all enjoy a relaxed stay here.
The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the food was good. It’s a distinctive old Soviet holiday resort with a creative, hipster sort of crowd. Just don’t come expecting top-end luxury.
The beach was clean, well looked after, and fairly quiet on weekdays. There’s a nice bar there for drinks and simple food like nuggets, ramen, fries, and sandwiches. The staff were welcoming, cheerful, and responsible. It’s a good place for a few days on the north shore of Issyk-kul. The rooms are decent, with a small fridge, TV, and kettle, but the beds are low and squeaky, and four people share one bathroom. The food is good, including vegetarian options if you let the staff know when booking.
I liked the experience for a night by the beach, especially with so few people around. I can’t picture staying longer than two days, though.
