The rooms really let the stay down. Their furniture is old and the fixtures are worn, so the place feels very dated and short on comfort. The staff, on the other hand, were friendly and helpful.

They've refreshed parts of the rooms with new carpet and wallpaper, but the work seems only partial. The bed felt perhaps 15-20 years old, sagged in the middle, and creaked. In the bathroom, the exhaust fan was louder than the TV. It's a nice hotel otherwise.

I'm a regular and stay here 4-6 weeks each year, and lately they've even been upgrading my room. It's my favorite hotel in Kyrgyzstan. The place is clean and airy, with very friendly staff. The other hotels I've tried there often felt dark and stuffy, with bulky furniture and little daylight.

The staff provide good service, and breakfast is decent. There's an old-world feel, a bar and restaurant open 24 hours, and a pool, steam room, and sauna available until 10 pm.
