Osh Nuru Hotel

We arrived by bicycle after dark and were welcomed warmly. They let us tuck our tandem away inside, near reception. Our first room was a little small and the shower didn’t work, but changing rooms was easy and immediate. The place was very clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was exceptional. The manager, Meerim, was even more remarkable. We’d lost our phone that afternoon and managed to locate it precisely the next morning. Someone had found it. Meerim called the police, then went with us and them to the small village where it was. The police did their job and we got the phone back. She gave us her whole morning just to help. We’ll never forget her generosity. She’s a beautiful person!

The hotel is right in the town centre, and parking is available. Our three person room was really small, though it was fine for one night. The breakfast buffet was the best we’d had in Kyrgyzstan so far. The young reception staff were friendly, as were the cleaners and guards.

There are lots of places to eat nearby, and it’s a short ride from the airport. The room was basic but worked for our stay, and the price was reasonable. Some staff argued with us about bringing our bicycles into the room. We needed to keep them with us because they carried a lot of our belongings and were too valuable to leave in the lobby. We won’t return unless the bike policy changes.

The service is impeccable, and the rooms have air conditioning. This is one of the best hotels in Osh, probably the only one with a pool. There are lots of souvenirs on the first floor too. I recommend it.
