Seng Hout Hotel

I’ve stayed here for more than a month over the past four months, and it’s been a solid, practical place for a longer visit. We chose the motel-style rooms and they suited us well. The rooms vary by type, but the customer service is outstanding and the location is hard to beat, right among the main sights, restaurants, and transport. Of the hotels I’ve tried around here over the years, this one feels like the best realistic option for location, price, and the stay itself. For the best rates, book directly through their website or ask at the front desk. Third-party apps like Booking.com cost more. The front desk is staffed around the clock, which feels reassuring for an extended stay. The women on the morning and daytime shifts are friendly, and the men covering nights are reliable. It’s convenient and welcoming without the frills or high prices of nearby fancier places, whether you’re here briefly or for longer.

My main issues were the hallway noise after hours and having just one usable outlet for charging. The bathroom outlet had been removed and filled with a plastic bag, so the room’s outlet problem was clearly known. The safe was locked too, and I had to ask staff to use it. I booked a night at Seng Hout on a whim while visiting Battambang. The market and pub street are within walking distance, and both the room and service were adequate. It was clean, I saw no bugs despite what other reviews said, and the hot shower was much appreciated. I might return, but I’d want to check the room carefully first.
