Pippali Hotel

The staff were excellent and sorted out any problems quickly and professionally. The hotel is clean, has a lovely little pool, and serves a pretty good breakfast. It's about a 10-minute walk along the river to the town centre. Sleeping was the main problem. Our first room picked up noise from the bar next door, so we asked to switch. The upstairs room had much better soundproofing, but its AC was so loud it kept us awake. Even with those issues, we had a good stay. If they fix the air conditioner, this place would be close to perfect.

Yes, yes, yes, we loved this place! The location is fantastic and the staff and amenities are lovely. I wish there were a vegan option or two on the menu, but there are plenty of other eateries just minutes away. I'd highly recommend staying here when visiting Kampot.

The pool is a good size and sits in the shade of a tropical garden. There are fewer rooms and people, and it's near the town centre and river promenade. The staff are helpful and always smiling. The noise is the big problem. Restaurants next door stay loud late into the night, then old, noisy fishing boats pass in front of the hotel from about 4 to 4:30am. Around 6am, there's kitchen noise from the neighboring restaurant and loud music from the residential building behind the hotel. After that already noisy night, it's a lot. Breakfast is a la carte and portions are small. The hotel really needs renovation.

A great spot for relaxing and exploring Kampot. It's easy to get to places along the Kampot River and the old town, the food is really good, and the pool is a big plus. Best hotel in town!
