River Nest Hostel

We had a lovely few days relaxing here, and the hostel staff were the friendliest, always checking that we were looked after. On our last day, one team member noticed my friend was sick and needed rest, then went out of his way to drive him to the clinic in his own car. 10/10 hostel.

I only stopped in for the bar and restaurant, though now I regret not staying at the hostel. The prices felt more reasonable than at tourist spots, and the bar staff were very friendly with good suggestions. It’s a calm place by the river to unwind in the evening. I visited on a big moon day, and the view was stunning. A great way to end the day in Kampot, and I’d love to stay here next time.

A little outside the downtown core, but a cheap Tuk Tuk ride gets you there, and sitting by the river morning or night makes it worth it. The hostel has a restaurant and bar, plus lots of newly renovated private rooms at great prices. The owner is a friendly, awesome guy who went above and beyond. I’d definitely recommend this place.

The place has a lovely, relaxed vibe, and the pool beside the river is great. I really liked so much about it, but both meals I ordered were so bad I couldn’t finish either one. Also, one male staff member kept asking me to ,,resingle” myself and whether he could send a picture to his friend who likes ,,western women”. He should work on his manners and respect.
